Bear Hunts

We are thrilled to announce that we are again offering guided spring and fall black bear hunts at Hobbs Resort!

We began in the fall of 2014 and it has been incredibly successful so far due to the impressive bear population in our area. There are a lot of very nice sized bears and even a surprising number of coloured (cinnamon, chocolate or blonde) bears that have been seen and/or harvested.

There are 2 Game Hunting Areas that we have allocations in, GHA 10 and GHA 15a. The sites set up in GHA 10 are across the lake and are accessed by boat. The sites in GHA 15a are south of Grand Rapids and are accessed by vehicle and ATV. Each site has a 2-man 16′ ladder tree stand, a trail camera and bait station.

We have 12 Foreign Resident tags available to us each year. The tag is good for both spring and fall seasons.

Cost of a bear hunt is $2600 USD (this is the total price).
50% non-refundable deposit required to book a hunt.
